Nelson Mandela.

Hello Lovelies,

I hope you are all well. Been a bit busy this last week. Although to be honest I can't quite remember everything I got up to. Just normal humdrum boring everyday life stuff. All except for the "boy germs" that Callum feels the need to share with me. So I am a little under the weather and sleeping a lot. My mum use to say that there would be plenty of time to sleep when she was dead. Would appear that I might live for a very long time, if I'm sleeping like the dead while I am still alive.

I am holding my breath right now for one of my favourite icons. Mr Nelson Mandela.
I expect you have heard that he is in hospital ill. The news is that he has a collapsed lung.
So while I couldn't exactly say that I am a girl driven to prays, I am in my own way praying that he will get better.

At 92 you could say that he has had a good innings and yes I guess to a certain extend he has.
That is until you remember that he spent 27yrs in jail. I'm not going to get into some sort of political row about Mr Mandela, after all some one once said that one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. The line between the two is very thin at times. A lot has been said about his past, but well that's just it, it's the past.

If you have never read his books I strongly suggest that you do. They are brilliant, illuminating and inspirational.

Anyway, I am wishing him well and sending out my own little prayers for him to what ever God wants to listen.

Much love
Lia
xXx

  2. A passionate man with a calling--the world will be sadly missing that when it's time for him to go home to G-d. The world could use more passion.....not less....

    (((((((((((( Lia ))))))))))))

    Of course I'll say prayers.

  3. Your kind words regarding Nelson Mandela are a reflection on your own goodness.

Nelson's words that you displayed with his picture are awakening and powerful, different from thoughts of the common folk.

I hope you're feeling better soon. Your comment about sleeping like the dead is hilarious. You made me chuckle outloud.

Take care and get all better now, ya hear?
