Mr Henry Allingham

For those of you who don't know this is Mr Henry Allingham, another one of our great World War 1 heroes.
We buried him today and gave him full military honours, the lest we owe these wonderful men.
Mr Allingham was 112years and 295 days.
I wish I had met Mr Allingham, a man who knew what war meant and tried so hard to tell people how talking was so much better than war.

Mr Allingham died on 18th July 2009
Mr Allingham's funeral took place today at St Nicholas' Church, Brighton at 12:00 with full Military Honours, it was followed by a flypast of five replica First World War aircraft; a bell tolled 113 times, once for each year of his life.
